Chainlift is a great product, but you need to get used to it. It requires a bit of practice. My applications include wheel change, regular maintenance, and home servicing, and this Chainlift is practical and works great for me
The chain lift works as advertised and makes bike maintenance cleaner and easier. However, you must watch the videos before you use it for the first time. It isn't intuitive how to move the arms, some require you to pull them away from the joint first. Just saying. I would purchase again.
"Game Changer/Fantastic Customer Support
Chainlift is an ingenious product that makes removing the rear wheel for car transport and cleaning a breeze, especially for those like me for whom tools are sometimes considered dangerous weapons! The instructional videos definitely shorten the learning curve. Fernando and the staff at Chairlift are VERY HELPFUL! They identified the best insert pin for a decade old SRAM derailleur and overnighted to me without charge in time for an imminent road trip. For a bike enthusiast but near failure at anything mechanical, Chainlift is right up there with the zipper and paper clip!"

Bought it a year ago, had a technical issue with mine - items was replaced and got a new one in 48h. Love that product, really helpfull when cleaning the bike.
Like any specialty tool it takes some practice to use it the most efficiently. Its best to keep the chain in the middle of the cassette. With larger cassettes you have to get used to the angle and direction you drop the wheel out so you don't smack the chain or derailleur. But if you do it once you see the angle and it becomes easy.
It also holds the chain taught enough you can run the cranks to clean the chain quite well.
The BEST thing its at is for car transport. Don't have a bike rack? Hate the chain rattling around in the trunk and falling off? Think doing the rear wheel is annoying? Buy this instead of a bike rack and solve all the little annoyances that come with trunk packing a bike.
Hi Alec,
We want to thank you for your order and also for taking the time to leave a review! I am sorry you are having trouble on certain bikes. I think we can help as the tool does work well with larger range cassettes..
I'd like to start with understanding your bike(s). Please send me a picture of the rear derailleur of each of your bikes.
We would also be happy to do a video call with you at your convenience.
Thank you for your patience and support!
Simple but easy to use and engineered well. It’s like having an extra set of hands. Makes maintenance on bikes something to not dread anymore!
This makes cleaning you bike super easy. Especially if you’re taking the back tire off. I love it
Makes removing the back wheel hassle and mess free. Would recommend to anyone who maintains their own bike, or simply just washes it. Great product.
I've used Chainlift to make it easy to switch my bike between the rear wheel and my Wahoo KICKR trainer. It makes the process clean and easy.
Here is what i comment on Facebook : Ne fonctionne pas correctement avec des dérailleurs 12 v Shimano SGS et cassettes 12v vtt ! Xtr, Xt.
Bonjour Frank,

Hello Frank,
I am sorry you are having trouble. The Chainlift tool works well with the 12 speed Shimano Road and 12 speed Shimano MTB. We can help. Please check your email for our message.
We have a Calfee tandem that I converted to an E-tandem. It has a 1X11 SRAM wireless shifting system. For some reason the rear wheel has been very difficult to remove with this system. I bought the Chainlift and removing the rear wheel in now a breeze, no problem whatsoever! I am extremely happy with the Chainlift.
The chainlift makes taking the wheel a breeze, clean and easier in no time. Like it and worth it
The idea is good and I was convinced. But for a fully equipped street bike there is no room for the chain lift to operate. It is made for mountain bike rack and dirt shields.
Thank you Martin. We use Chainlift on bikes with a rack and fenders although it does require a different technique. This technique isn’t quite as elegant but we believe still easy enough to use. Once mounted, you still get all the benefits Chainlift offers. You can watch a video showing how to use Chainlift with rear fenders or racks here: https://youtu.be/T35EthA4OjY.
Great product and customer service is exceptional!
The tool does a great job once you get used to it, so make sure you watch the videos and practice it a few times.
I got this product about a month ago and it helped a lot for putting my bike on the trainer, and cleaning another one. Definitely recommend it for anyone!
Easy to use, no more dirty hands when removing the rear wheel. No more scratches on the frame.
It couldn’t imagine how it would help adjust disk brakes until I tried. It Iifts the chain to disengage the cassette. As a result you don’t hear the freewheel rachet noise, allowing you to hear if the brake pad is rubbing on the rotor. Not mention the Chainlift makes it snap to remove and replace a rear wheel or a front wheel if you have a Cruzbike recumbent.
