Easy Rear Tire Change

I ordered the CHAINLIFT V2 because the last time I had to change a rear tire it was a pain to get the wheel off and on easily. I have a Shimano and SRAM derailleur, so I use two of the provided pins. I needed a new rear tire on my Shimano so I used the CHAINLIFT for the first time. I had to tinker with the rubber frame position but it was simple. I was surprised at how easily the system worked to disengage the chain and allow the wheel to drop out. I hope I don't have to use the CHAINLIFT too often, tires aren't free, but when I do need a rear tire change I know it will be an easy task. Great job on this system.

Game Changer/Fantastic Customer Support

Chairlift is an ingenious product that makes removing the rear wheel for car transport and cleaning a breeze, especially for those like me for whom tools are sometimes considered dangerous weapons! The instructional videos definitely shorten the learning curve. Fernando and the staff at Chairlift are VERY HELPFUL! They identified the best insert pin for a decade old Sram derailleur and overnighted to me without charge in time for an imminent road trip. For a bike enthusiast but near failure at anything mechanical, Chainlift is right up there with the zipper and paper clip!

Quick, easy, & clean bike transitions

I have had my chainlift tool for a few months now. I have used it more than I thought. The chainlift tool has allowed me to make quick, easier, and cleaner transitions between riding outdoors and outdoors. The weather during the shoulder seasons in the Pacific Northwest is unpredictable. We go through a period of "do I ride on the trainer today" or "do I get outside?". With the chainlift, due to how much easier it is to transition from bike to trainer and from trainer to bike, for me it eliminates the excuse of not riding one way or the other. I do recommend you watch the videos for instruction. I use it on both my wired & wireless derailleurs with no problems. If you are a DIY bike mechanic like me and you use a trainer in inclement weather, I highly recommend the chainlift too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you guarantee Chainlift will work with my bike(s)?

No. But we have designed and tested Chainlift to work on the majority of derailleurs made in the last 20-30 years. There are simply too many derailleur types made over the last 100 years to make that guarantee.

Please watch our instructional video and visit the chart here. Or if you don’t find your model on the list or don’t know your model, we will personally help you choose the right one. Just take a picture of your derailleur with your phone and email it to info@chainlift.com. We will reply quickly. What chains will Chainlift work with?

We designed Chainlift to work with all 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, & 7 speed chains.

Will Chainlift work on my 1x drivetrain?

Chainlift will work on most 1x drivetrains. However, there may be some on-road 1x drivetrains with short cage derailleurs and small cassettes that will not have enough chain length for Chainlift to work. If you think you fit that description, just email a photo of your drive train tocustomerservice@radian-usa.comand we’ll let you know quickly before you order.

Can I use Chainlift on my single speed?

No, Chainlift only works on bikes with rear derailleurs.
