Works well as advertised

Works well as advertised. I use it on a Terratrike. I do have to remove a rack and fender, but it is still a useful tool.

Easier than expected

I always struggle getting my tire on and off my bike, usually end up covered in grease and super frustrated. After seeing an add for the chainlift, I figured it was worth a shot, even it it marginally made it easier. After watching the videos, I picked my appropriate pin, moved the derailleur out of the way and the chain lifted right up. That allowed for a clean removal of my wheel.

Putting it back on was sut as simple. It slid into place with a very simple twist, the dropped the chain back on. Pulled the chainlift off and didn't have anything on my hands for once.

A couple recommendations I have for using it. Be sure to have the chain on the front small chainring, if you have two. THe rear should be on the third smallest. These are stated in the videos and it is good to follow. It makes for easiest removal and alignment.

For chainring, it may be a good idea to label one of the videos using the chainring, or something similar and do a full use, starting from picking the pin to lifting the chain, all in one video. I am not a fan of going through the steps in their own individual videos. It's just a personal preference. Other than that it is a great product that I will continue to use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you guarantee Chainlift will work with my bike(s)?

No. But we have designed and tested Chainlift to work on the majority of derailleurs made in the last 20-30 years. There are simply too many derailleur types made over the last 100 years to make that guarantee.

Please watch our instructional video and visit the chart here. Or if you don’t find your model on the list or don’t know your model, we will personally help you choose the right one. Just take a picture of your derailleur with your phone and email it to info@chainlift.com. We will reply quickly. Or if you prefer live video help, just connect with us via Facetime, Facebook Messenger, Google Duo, WhatsApp or Skype.

What chains will Chainlift work with?

We designed Chainlift to work with all 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, & 7 speed chains.

Will Chainlift work on my 1x drivetrain?

Chainlift will work on most 1x drivetrains. However, there may be some on-road 1x drivetrains with short cage derailleurs and small cassettes that will not have enough chain length for Chainlift to work. If you think you fit that description, just email a photo of your drive train tocustomerservice@radian-usa.comand we’ll let you know quickly before you order.

Can I use Chainlift on my single speed?

No, Chainlift only works on bikes with rear derailleurs.

How do I pick the right interchangeable insert pin?

Please watch our instructional videohereand visit the charthere. Or if you don’t find your model on the list or don’t know your model, DO NOT WORRY. We will personally help you choose the right one.
